Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium derivative of guar gum, act as a conditioning ingredient in both skincare and hair care products.
Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride is most widely used in hair care products due to the added benefit of helping to reduce static between hair strands. It has a good adsorption performance on the hair, which can form a cationic macromolecular membrane, can better improve the hair quality. It has a good conditioning function in the fragrance, which can mainly anticipate electrostatic, increase the softness of the hair, make the hair softer and easy to comb, and reduce the hair entanglement.

The main function of Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride is to extend conditioning properties to hair care products. It is also sometimes used in skin care products to achieve the same results.
