Diazolidinyl Urea is soluble in water; freely soluble in propylene glycol and glycerin; slightly soluble in methanol and ethanol; not soluble in mineral oil.

Diazolidinyl Urea has broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, which not only inhibits gram-positive bacteria, bacteria, yeasts, molds and fungi, but also has specific effects on gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and E. There are no toxic side effects. Neither cationic, anionic or non-ionic surfactants nor protein affect the bactericidal activity of Diazolidinyl Urea.

Diazolidinyl Urea is one of the most frequently used preservatives in the cosmetics industry after paraben esters. It is compatible with almost all cosmetic ingredients.

Diazolidinyl Urea is effective against Gram-negative bacteria, incl Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It provides a complete antimicrobial preservative system that is active against bacteria, yeast and mold.

Diazolidinyl Urea, is permanently listed by the EU at levels up to 0.5% without restrictions.

Diazolidinyl Urea is safe for both leave-on and rinse-off products and provides effective protection at low concentration levels. It is typically used at concentrations from 0.1-0.3%.

Diazolidinyl Urea can be used in various remnant and rinse-off products such as creams, lotions, shampoos and wipes,Hair conditioner, liquid cosmetics and eye cosmetics.

Generally recommended addition amount is 0.1~0.4%

pH range 3~9, can be added in a wide temperature range (<80 °C)

Diazolidinyl Urea can be used in combination with parabens and IPBC to enhance their antiseptic effect

Diazolidinyl Urea is compatible with various surfactants, proteins and most cosmetic ingredients.
