Permethrin, is an organic compound, brown-yellow oily liquid, crystallized at low temperature, is an insecticidal compound.
Permethrin are the veterans of pyrethroid insecticides. At present, it has been rarely used in pesticides, and more is used in sanitary medicine.
Due to its low activity, it has no advantage in pesticides compared with other permethrin insecticides. But it has obvious advantages in health medicine.
Uses & Applications
Insect Repellent
Features a good killing effect on mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, bedbugs, etc., and is an important active ingredient in insect repellent sprays and mosquito coils
Insecticide
- In agriculture, to protect crops , to kill livestock parasites;
- For industrial and domestic insect control;
- In the textile industry, to prevent insect attack of woollen products.
Medical use
Available for topical use as a cream or lotion. It is indicated for the treatment and prevention in exposed individuals of head lice and treatment of scabies.
